Seeing the Unscene

About

Do you remember the childhood basketball game of H.O.R.S.E.? I remember being a better shot when I gave up trying, turned my back to the hoop and just went for it.

This is a photography project exploring that concept—shooting behind my back, removing thought and skill and seeing what happens when I'm not looking.

All shots taken with Hipstamatic, using the randomize option to further reduce my control over the outcome.

About

I think a lot. Too much, I think. See, I did it right there.

This project stemmed from the idea of stopping myself from thinking in photography and taking a good amount of skill out of the picture. To see what the results would be if I didn’t even look at what I was photographing.
